The very last sentence sold me on the movie: "a marvellous sympathy for the whole cast" - which seems to be surprisingly uncommon in a lot of stories and media. I know it's not quite in the spirits of the times but I actually prefer watching (or reading) stories about people I can tell the author likes and that I can like as well.

This is pretty surprising. Out of all books by Lawrence Osborne that I read, I didn't imagine that someone would turn this into a movie.

The Reacher books are so dumb and the first season of this series was so good at translating that to the screen, so obviously I'm really looking forward to the next season

It's one of those movies that I somehow don't dare to watch. I don't even know why.
